I really liked this book for the fact that all the illustrations were made with hand prints. The colors the artists used really set the tone for this book. It uses bright colors from the rainbow. They make birds, hearts, trees, butterflies, and other objects all out of their hands. Even the letters are made with hand prints. This would be a really cool book to use in an art lesson, to have the students make pictures out of their handprints. The concept of this book is to teach kids the importance of life. It teaches them to have aspirations in life. It talks about touching hearts, planting ideas, and stretching ideas. It all ties in with the question at the end, "What will your beautiful hands do today?". This book can be used across the classroom because it doesn't show one single race or culture, which is why they pictures are done in multiple colors.
