Beautifully and Exquisitely Written! Seductive and Entrancing
This is not a pretty flowers and candlelight romance. It's more a traverse though the more sinister places of reality. A place where you are afraid to hope. Where life and death walk hand and hand every single day.
That is where Honor finds herself and we get to read about her life in these pages. She's not always strong, nor is she always weak. But she will do whatever it takes to protect the ones she loves.

Honor is the entire reason I gave this book 4 stars. She is a remarkable character; strong on the outside yet vulnerable on the inside. Everything she does, she does for her sister. To keep her safe and unharmed from those they are hiding from. Sacrifice isn't even a strong enough word to describe what she does. Sacrifice her morals, pride, her body...everything. As long as her sister remains safe she will continue doing what is needed to survive. I feel like that is rare. That someone would do so much to protect someone they love so dearly. Especially when it would be so much easier to just give up. It's why I enjoyed her story so much.
Kip I feel is a mystery when we first meet him, and even still as the book ends. But I do like his role throughout the book. It makes for quite an ending. Definitely a must read book. ( )
