I LOVED THE CHANGE OF PACE FROM R.L.. I REALLY ENJOYED THE THELMA AND LOUISE TYPE OF STORY... OBVIOUSLY THIS ONE HAS A WHOLE DIFFERENT KIND OF ENDING... ONE WITH A HANDSOME GENTLEMAN AND SOME ALCOHOL! PERFECT. ENDING. ( )

This book was not what I expected. Megan, the lead character, resonated with me probably more than any other character I have read. We had lots in common. Like what? Auburn hair? Check. Freckles? Check. Bad luck with men? Check. Lawyer? Check. Hate billable hours? Absolutely, it's why I went to work for the govt. Smart dumb person? Sadly yes. How do you think I got nicknamed Bambi? My friends said I was the dumbest smart person they knew. So as you can see, I really connected with this character. Now, I just need to win the lottery, bang a book cover model, and find Mr. Right. Can you help with that Ms. Griffin?

This was a story about a woman finding herself. It made me miss those really good girlfriends, the ones I had in my life who were partners in crime. You know, the Louise to my Thelma. Because I've moved recently and am without a Louise at present, I really enjoyed taking this journey with Megan and Laura. Perhaps Deanna and I can recreate this story in an international version on our trip to Ireland-London-Scotland next year. We can call it Misty & Whiskey, because I think we'll be traveling during the rainy season.

There was some romance in this book, and some bad sex, and some steamy sex - but that took a backseat to Megan's journey. I look forward to continuing the journey in the rest of the Drinking series - especially if karma shows up to kick Chad's ass. ( )
