While I applaud the fact that they wanted to implement a foreign language (german, in this case), it is offensive that the writers or whoever the heck was responisble, thought they could use Google Translate. Most of the Gremlins hacked up German, I could let slide. "er wird die meiste wertsache zu thanagar sein.", I could not. Simple things like this mess just piss me off. HIRE SOMEONE WHO ACTUALLY SPEAKS/WRITES THE LANGUAGE! Storywise, it was interesting and exciting. Hal Jordan restablishes his life as a lantern and a pilot. He fights two Manhunters where one of them realizes he’s feeling fear for the first time when he blows up...I wish he teamed up with the Manhunter who helped him instead of fun dying out...Hal also encounters that man shark guy which ended being a pretty cool fight scene but ends on a terrible whimper with that last issue (one of the worse issues I ever read) Omg this book was freaking lame. The art took huge downturn (especially at the end—hated the layout and the art was uninspired and not suitable for a comic format since it lacked movement and flow. I hate the stupid airfield and I don’t care for planes which may have affected my patience for it...I did love the first issue when Hal was a kid and hanging out with his Dad...Cooke did awesome job with that nastalgic art and John was really good at taking a moment to see a father and son bond. Favorite moments: -father and son bonding with Cooke art -King Shark eating that couple -King Shark in general since that whole scene actually frightened me. If he was some big ass humanoid shark swimming around and eating people all the time makes for one terrifying monster Least favorite moments: -boring airfield crap -robot becomes conscious? Stupid. -Man hunters suck and are boring -Hal jumping out of a plane to recharge his ring -last issue was a turd Zeige 3 von 3 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
Gehört zur ReiheGreen Lantern [Volume 4] (collects 1-6)
The greatest Green Lantern of them all is back. Hal Jordan has been resurrected and redeemed. Now it is time to get on with his life as Green Lantern, protector of sector 2814. But even as he returns to the skies as an Air Force pilot, Jordan faces new threats from his old foes. The deadly Manhunter androids and the mutated Shark return with shocking violence ... yet they are just the precursors to even greater dangers. A maddened Black Hand embarks on a murderous rampage just as Hal finds himself the object of an alien race's insidious plan to harvest humans as living weapons of war. Hal Jordan is back-but being tested in ways he never could have imagined. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |
