Her many years of lies and deception have torn apart their once-devoted family, and she has left behind the twins to deal with her trail of destruction. It is a long and difficult year for the girls. Picking up from where Love, Greed and Lie$ left off, Layla and Kayla are the identical twins of the recently deceased Alice. They’ve had a very traumatic year and while Kayla is getting her life on track with fiancé James, Layla just isn’t motivated about anything other than creating mayhem. All the wonderful characters from the first book are back and Harper does a masterful job of weaving the stories of different branches of this family together. As the reader learns more about each of them, it’s very challenging not to feel you are personally involved. While it would not be necessary to read Love, Greed and Lies$ before reading The Lost Twins, it would be very helpful to gain a full understanding of the who, what, when and why. Book 2 is about half the size of the first one and the ending will come all too quickly. I was speechless at the totally unexpected way this book ended and I can only keep my fingers crossed that Harper is planning a third book about this family. I will definitely be recommending this family saga to all my reading friends.
