This book would be good for grades 3 and up
This book is about a student that has impulse control problems and loves to be the center of attention but he starts to harm others so they correct him in not the best ways
I wouldnt use this in my classroom because I dont want my students thinking that it is ok to treat others like they did and also allow bad behavior the wrong waay ( )

This book is about executive functioning and thinking about our actions before acting on them. This is important because it is important to respond to conflict in a way that is appropriate. This book would be appropriate for primary grade kids and teaching them to think before acting on impulse. ( )

I would recommend this book to students who are in special education classes and who are in upper grade levels because for students to fully understand what the book is displaying they will need to be older. This book goes through the story of a young boy who cannot control his impulses which leads him into trouble. This would be good to use in the classroom because children can relate to this and it can show them ways of how to not let their impulses control the ways they act.

Intermediate
A boy learns how to control his impulses by adults asking him if his actions would make the situation better, or worse.
I don't think I'd have this book in my classroom just because I really don't like the art style, but I will take the list that the teachers give him, 1. stop, 2. think, 3. make a plan, and teach it to my kids.

This book is for primary to intermediate aged students. This book illustrates the struggles of third grader Brayden as he has struggles controlling his impulsive behaviors, as they are starting to cause distractions in the class. "Why can't I act on it?" Brayden thinks, as in the moment everything seems perfectly reasonable. However, after his teacher asks Brayden, "Did they help the situation, or hurt it?" Brayden starts to realize that his thoughts in the moment and that actions that proceed may actually do more harm than good. Through a helpful procedure list that his teacher provides to him, Brayden navigates his troubles with his impulsive thoughts and learns how to better control his actions.
This book is a great outline for some behavior issues from the perspective of a child. This is a helpful tool for. us to see things from the child's perspective, but also provides a relatable character for students to relate to. This book presents great strategies to help solve behavior problems from a teacher and a child's perspective.
