The story skips ahead two years to where Amanda and her family are trying to get their lives back together. When Chase comes to the next town to film a movie, his publicist decides it would be a good idea to get the two of them together. Chase also needs help in his comeback so having Amanda hang around seems like a good idea.
I found the story a little slow at first, but by about halfway I was definitely hooked. The building relationship between these two flawed people and how they help each other is finely written. Amanda's family are also, each in their own way, interesting characters who add a lot to the story. I really enjoyed this YA thriller and was surprised at the ending (It was slightly different from what I predicted which made it better). ( )
