This was tough to rate. Because for much of the book, I didn’t like any of the characters. I didn’t like how the relationship started between Emily and Ethan. Emily was still with her boyfriend, a man she thought was days away from proposing marriage, when she started “flirting” with Ethan. That flirting evolved into a 2 week long texting relationship that even her friend who hated her current boyfriend was warning her to stop.

When she finally gets out of her current relationship, she’s with Ethan like 2 minutes later. 2 minutes may be a bit of an exaggeration. But not by much. And the morning after, Ethan is already booking them couples massages and preparing to go public with the relationship. They fight. Then get back together. Then fight. Then get back together. They had a very volatile relationship. Then out of the blue, she’s arrested. And there’s this long search for who set her up. There was a lot going on that neither Emily nor Ethan handled well and they kept breaking it. It was too much.

By the end, I probably would end up bumping this rating up to a 2.5 star book, because it did get better once they stopped breaking up all the time. ( )

I really loved my adventure getting to know Ethan...I really like this Authors sense of direction in this book...I usually don't read Sports Romance...But I will have to say the Author Alice Ward definitely knows her (HEAT) range...Thank you Author Alice Ward for doing what you do for us Readers :) Will definitely be back to read more :) ( )
