Great addition to the Sapphire Falls family! Even though this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I would call this a second chance romance because Tessa & Bryan have known each other since kindergarten. I will admit that Bryan is the first character of Erin's that I really had to work to like. He was arrogant, cocky & full of himself. He's the type you love to see get taken down a notch. Erin had me worked up at his "I'm ready to settle down now so let's get to it" attitude.

Tessa is a sweet young lady who has been in love with Bryan forever. She had been waiting around for him to notice her and finally decides it's time to get a life. She's ready to travel & compete in marathons at the time Bryan is ready to settle down. You could see the "say what" expression on his face when she didn't fall into his plans immediately & fawn all over him.

I love that Erin can write about the sensitive & caring characters we are used to & then have the courage to write about a jerk like Bryan. Bryan & Tessa both inspire such dramatic emotions from the reader. You want to grab them both & shake the living daylight a out of them. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just say you'll love it! The plot takes twists & turns that the reader & the characters don't know are coming. ( )
