H. E. Davey, is the author of Unlocking the Secrets of Aiki-jujutsu, began studying Japan's martial arts at the age of five. He has continued to pursue this study in Japan and the United States. Mr. Davey was given the traditonal title and rank of Kyoshi by the Kokusai Budoin World HQ. The Kokusai Budoin, a 45-year-old international martial arts association based out of Tokyo, describes this rank as equivalent to a Master's certificate and equal to a sixth to eighth-degree black belt. H.E. Davey is the highest raning American in the Kokuksai Budoin's Nihon Jujutsu and Kobudo Divisions. He is also the Director of the Sennin Foundation Center for Japanese Cultural Arts which offers instruction in traditional Japanese systems of aiki-jujutsu, yoga, healing arts, and fine arts.
