Not only did Keely and Jonah have chemistry, but having grown up together they also had deep caring from the start. This is the perfect blend between sweet and emotional and hot and sexy. One really can't go wrong reading anything by Jeannie. ( ) I want so much to love these, but I just can’t bring myself to go past “middle of the road”. The storyline, for the genre, was quite good. I’m attached enough to the characters in town. But again, this one had dreadful editing, and the FMC was suffering multiple personality disorder. In a second, poof, totally different person. Also, the “conflict” was SO stupid. I think this one is probably a 2.5. ARC Review: Daring the Pilot (Men of Marietta) by Jeannie Moon Daring the Pilot aims for the heart. Ms. Moon proved that short and sweet can be powerful and unforgettable. Keely was the a brainy, awkward teen with a thirst for knowledge, but easy prey for bullies. Jonah was a loner by choice who spent most of his time looking out for his best friend's kid sister. Adulthood took them in different directions but when life lands them both back in their hometown of Marietta everything changes. A childhood crush becomes an adulthood inferno that is rapidly spreading out of control. Can these childhood friends, build a love connection? Daring the Pilot tickles the funny bone as it stimulates the heart. A dare worth taking. Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. I enjoyed this story, it was a real love story. Keely comes back home after being gone for 10 years, and the first person she sees is her long ago crush Jonah, who was her brothers best friend, but he only saw her as the nerdy little sister of her brother. Jonah is shocked to Keely all grown up, and he is instantly attracted, but decides he is going to avoid her because she was the little sister of his friend, which makes her off limits. But the attraction is too strong so he really does not stay away from her, they get together, and unfortunately her brother catches them, and flips and is insulting, but Jonah wont have, brother or not he defends Keely. Keely ends up getting hurt, and breaks up with Jonah because she feels he over stepped his bounds with her. Jonah does not give up, and Keely truly loves him, so they get there HEA. Hope to read Gabe's story next. Zeige 4 von 4 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
