Andi “Saddles Up” is a visit back with Andi Carter at the Circle “C” Ranch located near Fresno California, and the year is 1877. As the book opens delightful Andi is about to celebrate her ninth birthday, and being the youngest in the family, and rather special to all, she is delighted in her gifts.
A book geared to ages 7 to 10, grade level 2 to 5, but as an adult kept me in mind of my favorite childhood books, sure to make your child smile, and think back to a different time in this country.
There are some really good lessons in this one; maybe the heart of children is the way to go. Andi does learn a very hard and painful lesson here also, and a good example that we need to listen to our elders.
