Maybe This Love by Jennifer Snow is an utterly charming and extremely heartwarming romance. Although it is the second installment in the Colorado Ice series, it can be read as a standalone.

Professional hockey player and MVP Ben Westmore does not need any distractions since his team is about to begin the playoffs. Unfortunately, what happens in Vegas does not necessarily stay in Vegas and Ben's playboy ways has landed him in a very tricky problem. Desperately trying to extricate himself from the situation without attracting any publicity, Ben also has to deal with his unexpected attraction to opposing attorney Olivia Miles.

When the two first meet, Olivia is on the cusp of making some huge changes in her personal life. Professionally, she is a well-respected divorce attorney who represents the wives who are divorcing their professional athlete husbands. Olivia is also a little lonely since she recently moved to Denver from LA and her only living relative recently passed away. After meeting Ben, she begins to have a few doubts about a recent decision, but she does not let her misgivings stand in the way of pursuing her dream.

Ben cannot stop thinking about Olivia and although any type of relationship is completely inappropriate, he arranges a couple of "accidental" meetings between them. Neither of them can deny their attraction to one another but ethically, Olivia should not be seeing him since she is on the other side of his legal situation. However, once she disentangles herself from the case, Olivia and Ben are free to date. Despite her reservations, Olivia agrees to go out with Ben, but is there any chance for a future together once she makes a surprising announcement?

Maybe This Love is an entertaining romance with a wonderful cast of lovable characters. The premise of the story is rather unique and Jennifer Snow skillfully inserts a few obstacles for Olivia and Ben to navigate on their way to happily ever after. This newest addition to the Colorado Ice series is a captivating love story that old and new fans do not want to miss. ( )

For a person who doesn't normally gravitate towards sports, I seem to keep falling in love with stories about them. There are only a handful of authors able to get me to fall hard and Jennifer Snow is one of them. She puts the heart into a heartless sport with Maybe This Love and brightens up a male dominated world with a bit of girl power. Olivia and Ben are classic romantic comedy with a modern day twist. Jennifer Snow’s MAYBE THIS LOVE is an excellent addition to the Colorado Ice series. Colorado Avalanche Captain, Ben Westmore, ends up needing a lawyer after a weekend in Vegas. He finds himself attracted to the opposing counsel, Olivia Davis. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult audiences.

We met both Ben and Olivia in book one, MAYBE THIS TIME. Ben is Jackson’s brother, and Olivia was Abby’s lawyer. I found how the two met amusing. They both were hurt in previous relationships and are leery of commitment.

I like Ben. I felt bad for what happened to him with Janelle. I can see how it would have messed with him to make the stupid mistake that he made. It doesn’t help that all this happens when his team is making a run for the cup, and he has been criticized for choking in previous playoffs. There is a lot of pressure of him. He has an amazing family. Olivia is a great character. She is a successful lawyer, but she lacks confidence socially. Her parents died when she was young, and she longs for a family.

I enjoyed the plot. The story was believable and well laid out. I like how Ben was adaptable on their dates. He is very creative and thoughtful. I also, appreciated how Ben handles things with Brandon. I love that Olivia gets along great with Ben’s family. There are a lot of funny scenes. I especially found the episode with the police officer amusing. MAYBE THIS LOVE had a great ending. I’m looking forward to Owen’s story in the next book of the series, MAYBE THIS SUMMER. Olivia Davis is the divorce attorney to athletes, or rather to their spouses. After gaining a reputation as a tough ice cold attorney, she's decided she's lost her chance at happily ever after & is going to do it alone. After making the decision to proceed with invites, she has the first meeting in a new case & can't believe the chemistry & attraction for her client's soon to be ex. How can Fate be so cruel?

I loved this one!! I really didn't think I'd like Ben's character because he came across as arrogant & self centered. I loved the way he appeared to change throughout the book but it was actually Olivia's perception of him changing as she got to know the man behind the persona. Olivia began to change as she started to see the other side of arguments instead of just her client's. Jennifer Snow does a really good job of introducing the reader to the characters & engaging them in the story by the use of her descriptive dialogue & excellent plot. Several barriers to Olivia & Ben's relationship are introduced in the first chapters & the rest of the story is spent showing why they can be strengths instead of barriers. Excellent story! I can't wait for Book 3! ( )

I love when a book comes together with great characters, chemistry, nice storyline, and laughs. This is what you get when you read Maybe This Love.

I was drawn to this book by the words Colorado and hockey. I am a fan of hockey. It is the only sport that I watch. Living in Colorado, I can remember when the Colorado Avalanche first came on the scene with Patrick Roy, Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, and Adam Foote to name a few. So, you can imagine by delight when I discovered that Ben was the captain of the Avalanche in this book. That fact won him major brownie points in my book. Additionally, it did not hurt that Ben was easy on the eyes.

Olivia had me from the first moment she was introduced. She is a woman who is comfortable in her own skin. Confidence is the best thing women can have. Olivia shows that if you have confidence it does not matter what size you are. The ripping she gave Ben was funny. Yet, he could take it and dish it back. Their playful banter helped spark the chemistry between them even more. One of my favorite scenes was when Olivia was taking a ice skating lesson from Ben. In that moment it was just the two of them. Author, Jennifer Snow has gained a new fan in me. ( )
