I really loved the character of Freddie. He had such a pure heart, and it was great to see him find someone to help him through the difficult times. As a cancer nurse, he had many stressful days. Taine was a great partner for him. This had an age-gap theme and it worked for these two guys. I enjoyed this. My only challenge is the lack of transitions in the book. Perhaps it was formatting, but in one chapter with no break other than moving to a new paragraph, the story skips ahead by days or more. It was a little disconcerting to move to different topics with no transition. Other than that, the characters were enjoyable. ( )
