Although I do not usually read this type of book, I do have to say this one is fantastic! It is a charming, light-hearted read that you would enjoy at the end of a rough day or when you want to exit your normal world of stress and worries. The plot line of breaking every one of your personal rules is creative and fun. I found the author's writing style lively and amusing, and the words flowed effortlessly smooth so much that I didn't want to stop reading. The characters are well developed and the ending concludes as satisfying as you would want any romantic comedy to end. Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Member Giveaways geschrieben. This was my first read after taking an unplanned month off from reading and reviewing. It was impromptu because I had actually been reading a book that I considered so terrible that I avoided reading so that I wouldn't feel obligated to try to continue it. I had to accept defeat in that I just couldn't finish it and move on. Luckily for me I randomly chose this book to read and it turned out to be the perfect book for me to come back to. I was a little apprehensive when I realized that it was the second book in a series that I have not read the first book of, but that turned out to be of no consequence as this could very easily be a stand alone book.I was immediately both interested and amused by the seemingly constant run of bad luck that the main character, Blair, experienced. I almost enjoyed watching her get knocked down a few pegs because of her superior attitude and overconfidence. It was refreshing to see her have the rug pulled out from under her and see her form an immediate plan of action and then act on it. And through her misadventures she became a very like-able character and a strong female lead. Right from the beginning, I was hooked. This story is relatable, fun, and hysterical! I feel like I have to read anything in this series. I would totally recommend! Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Member Giveaways geschrieben. This is a charming story of a young aspiring magazine fashion editor whose life crumbles around her in a single day. Twenty-nine-year-old Blair Walker’s response to losing her anticipated promotion, her job and her long-time boyfriend is priceless. She pulls out her list of life rules and sets out to break every rule on the list. This book is laugh out loud funny! Once I started it, I couldn’t put it down. If you are in the mood for something light with a bit of chick-lit romance, I highly recommend this. I can’t wait to go back and read the first in this series by Ms. Isley! I received an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

It is a cute story about having a crappy day and switching up how you live life. This book bugged me a little bit. While cute and sappy, The main female character was annoyingly pushy, overly self-absorbed and relentlessly seeing things from only her perspective. Yes, you should always shoot your shot. Yes, you should always know what you want. Saying what you want and meaning what you say is important but don't be an ass while doing it! Forcing someone to realize they are on the same page as you can truly backfire in the real world. Say how you feel with the understanding the other person may not feel the same. ( )
