Wicked Bite (Realm Enforcers #5) by Rebecca Zanetti published by Kensington Books Lyrical Press. If you have read my reviews for this series then you know I LOVE them. I was lucky when I got an advanced copy of the fourth book through Netgalley and when I finished that I went and read the first three books like they were a piece of pie that I could not get enough of and book 5 is just as amazing as the rest of the series all I can do is HOPE for more. This book exceeded all my expectations and then some. Bear is all Alpha and perfect. He’s rough gruff and kicking a** and taking names and a sweet teddy bear all in one pure perfection. The anti-social leader who wants to save the world and find a woman who isn’t a witch… but lucky for Bear OPPOSITES attract.
Nessa a kick ass witch who you cannot help to relate to and love. She is all layers and soft curves. I love that she is a smart ass and gives Bear a run for his money. The roller coaster ride that is each book is amazing I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but I will say that Nessa is a strong beautiful woman who knows what she wants and how to get it. I love the push and pull that is them and the way that each book is somehow connected and yet stands on its own! 5 stars all the way amazing. Thank you netgalley this was awesome to read. There is a contemporary series coming from this author that I can't wait to see what it's all about. (

I don't normally read the last book in a series first, but somehow that's exactly what happened here. I read the blurb and thought the hero sounded fun. And I was right. I loved Bear. He's grumbly. In need of help. And completely irresistible. I'm not going to go into the plot other than to say, that the hero is way more than he appears to be because it's the last book in the series (or so I've heard). I really hope it's not. The story kind of felt like it was just getting revved up. Anyway, if you like paranormal romances with a twist (ie witches with fangs, shapeshifters, etc.), then this is definitely the series for you. I'm now reading them in reverse order, but I recommend picking book one up and starting from there. It would be a lot more enjoyable. (

Nessa and Bear are the perfect example of opposites attract. Bear is wild and passionate whereas Nessa is prim and proper and all put together. But getting Bear to trust her is the only thing on her mind, for more than one reason. Letting Nessa into his inner circle is the last thing that Bear wants to do but she just might be the only one who can help him heal on a cellular level. Plus she wants to mate him to gain something for herself. He has no choice but to let her in. But neither of them expected to find their interaction to be so explosive. And for Nessa betraying Bear is turning out to be the last thing that she wants to do.

This is such a great paranormal romance series. I haven't read all the other books in this series and I don't feel as if this I was completely lost, but I probably would have enjoyed this even more if I had read the previous installments.

I love how Zanetti writes her characters. So many other books in this genre have cookie cutter characters with no depth. Not in this. We see flaws, uniqueness, layers, and more. The two main characters really fit together well and make a great couple.

I do feel the mystery part of this was a bit predictable, but it didn't make me enjoy this any less. There is quite a bit of steam, but it doesn't get too cheesy or gagtastic.

This is a great paranormal romance and fans on the genre should really read this series. I do recommend starting with her Dark Protector books first as this is a spin-off series.
