I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

This book was so much better than the last one!!! I really enjoyed the first book, but I admit, it was more of a 3.5 stars to me (but I gave it 4 because I prefer to round up, not down and because I really loved the idea of the story and where the author was going with the series). This book was most definitely 4 stars if not slightly more! I love the way the author has created the vampires and werewolves to be different than the way others write them. Ellis isn't your typical vampire and Randall isn't your typical werewolf.

This story takes place a couple of weeks after Book 1 and Randall is struggling with his feelings toward Ellis and his obligation to his pack. We learn a bit more in this book about how the pack works and what makes one an Alpha. We learn about other packs, and we see how dysfunctional Randall's pack is. We also see how and how much Ellis and Randall really care about each other and how much they are willing to sacrifice to be with the other.

I am very much looking forward the third book. We have seen in this book a battle between the wolves, and now comes the vampire battle. I can't wait!!! ( )
