Billionaires live by a different set of rules than most people, and when they happen to be a tiger shifter on top of incredibly rich, you never know what they’ll be up to next. ‘Chained to the Tiger’s Bed’ turned out to be a much more literal description of what Jameson gets up to than I expected. Dylan, the lion shifter who gets “handed over” to Jameson by his father, has no idea what he is in for, but his expectations are not very high. He falls from the shock about his father’s callousness into one surprise after the other, and the result is a scorching story that starts out as a profitable business deal and ends up being a battle for love and affection that neither main character expected when they first met.

Dylan Howell is an omega, which means his pride sees him as less important than his older brothers, and his father sees – and treats - him as stupid and worthless. Despite their lack of a normal father-son relationship, Dylan would have never expected to be “sold” to replace the ten million his father owes Jameson, but can’t pay. Dylan is shocked and scared, especially when Jameson literally chains him to his bed so Dylan can’t run while Jameson is at work. But as Dylan discovers Jameson’s darker sexual urges, he also learns that he likes to be a sub – in the bedroom!

Jameson is in more trouble than he admits. He is not for slavery, nor does he need the money Dylan’s father owes him. He is much more interested in the business, but once he sets eyes on Dylan, he is strongly attracted to him and decides to pretend to take him as payment. Jameson’s sexual tastes do run toward BDSM, and he wants Dylan as his sub, but “owning” him is not part of his agenda. The real problem is resisting his need to claim Dylan as his mate – because tigers and lions don’t bond – or so Jameson has been taught.

Both men have a lot to learn about each other, and not just in the bedroom. While that is very hot and definitely a big part of their relationship in the beginning, there is a lot more to Dylan than Jameson (or I) expected, and it was a lot of fun to find out exactly what that is and how it influenced their relationship, Jameson’s business, and Dylan’s future.

If you like shifter stories with unexpected revelations, if a more dominant male taking charge of one who wants to submit is your thing, and if you’re looking for a read that offers heat, romance, and a few surprises, then you will probably like this novella.
