It was all about how she can't uproot her life or move to be with Beau. Blah, Blah, Blah.....he deserved better than her. ( ) My favorite of the series I'm not sure why this book had mixed reviews because I thoroughly enjoyed this. I could relate to Sabrina and her having to adjust to the outpost. I'm a city girl. I get made fun of a lot when I go up to my family ranch that isn't far from the Montana border. So, I know how she feels being out of her element. I also liked Beau. I thought the author did a great job portraying two different lifestyles and what the issues might be. I also enjoyed that she had the author stuff tied in. Pretty nice little twist. Basically, this book was perfect to me. Sabrina and Beau. This is a sweet story. In Book 3 The Lucky Heart, we met Sabrina, we knew she was writing a story and turned up in Jamison Valley beaten up and needing to hide. The description of the Outpost and life there was really realistic, it was obviously very basic and as 'a city girl' we see things through Sabrina's eyes. I thought it was sweet not only did the simplistic way of life keep Sabrina safe but also helped her reevaluate what she was doing with her life and what was important. I wasn't keen on the reasoning around her getting the story with Anton that led to her problems and having to run but I think she also felt that although it helped the greater good, she hadn't really counted the cost and lost a piece of herself getting the story. Beau was a dream, his only fault seems to be giving too much for other people but it is a difficult one to draw a line on. The story drew you in to life at The Outpost and did have some sad moments. HEA. We learnt a bit about Maisy who I think is the next book. I have been reading this series out of sequence so I finally got around the book 4. It was amazing. A big city reporter on the run from the Russian mafia is hidden in the mountains by a giant hunk of a man. How could they help but fall in love. Be warned, there are many tears to be shed towards the end of this book but the Epilogue makes them all worth it for the Happily Evedr After. Zeige 5 von 5 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

Trapped in his tiny mountain cabin, she didn't expect to fall for his big heart.Exposing a prominent criminal family with an investigative news report didn't exactly work out the way Sabrina had hoped. Instead of basking in the glory of her article's success, she's on the run from a powerful man who wants her dead. To stay safe, she's forced to trade one bad situation for another. Stuck in the Montana wilderness, she's secluded from anything resembling civilization or the modern-day world. The only good thing about her situation is the gorgeous mountain man assigned to protect her. Too bad he isn't the slightest bit interested in a city girl like her.Beau likes his life quiet and simple. Give him a peaceful day hiking in the woods with his dog, and he's a happy man. He has no use for large crowds, noisy cities or dramatic women. So when a hotshot reporter rolls into town, dragging her big-time problems with her, he should have run for the hills. Instead, he volunteered to keep her safe. Bringing her into his world won't be easy, but if he can convince her that Montana isn't as terrifying as she believes, they might just be the perfect match.
