Jane Austen is a wonderful English author, this book covers her life story. It is a book made to not only tell you about the life of Jane Austen and for children to understand the differences between when she was a child and now. This story is also very good for covering the different lives that English girls led compared to English boys. This story would be perfect for history assignments, language assignments, and writing assignments. Being an avid Jane Austen reader I believe this is a wonderful book. When she wanted her first book published, they said no bc it was “unladylike.”This book teaches the readers the struggles of being a girl in the late 1700s and how difficult it was for Jane. This can encourage young readers that they can be anything they set their mind to if they work hard. ( )
