She lived a long time ago and was a writer in the 1800s. The book tells us how smart and strong Jane was as a child. She noticed that boys and girls were treated differently, and she didn't like it. Jane wanted to do more than just sew and mend clothes. In her free time, she read many books and wrote stories with her creative mind. This can inspire young readers to believe in themselves and work hard for their dreams. ( ) Very charming Mixed-media ( the illustrator of the Little Peas series) picture book bio on Jane Austen. An informative life wrap-up at the end of this book, along with witty quotes by Jane brought nice closure to this work. On Jane: I knew she was witty and marched to the beat of her own feminist drum in a vague sense, but this book illustrates, in a simple colorful manner, how Ms. Austen was such an amazing, thoughtful, independent, brave lady, especially in a time where security depended solely on marriage alone. She existed like a female entrepreneur, before it was cool! This work is a must for those looking for picture book bios on strong female role-models. Jane Austen is a wonderful English author, this book covers her life story. It is a book made to not only tell you about the life of Jane Austen and for children to understand the differences between when she was a child and now. This story is also very good for covering the different lives that English girls led compared to English boys. This story would be perfect for history assignments, language assignments, and writing assignments. Being an avid Jane Austen reader I believe this is a wonderful book. This book helps students to learn the changes that have occurred within society over the decades. This book is a small autobiography on Jane Austen’s life. Jane was a writer in the early 1800s and this book tells her story. I learned how strong and smart Jane was as a child to recognize how boys and girls were raised differently and how she thought that was unfair. She wanted to do more than just sew and mend. With much of her free time, she read a lot of books and wrote many stories with the creative mind she had. When she wanted her first book published, they said no bc it was “unladylike.”This book teaches the readers the struggles of being a girl in the late 1700s and how difficult it was for Jane. This can encourage young readers that they can be anything they set their mind to if they work hard. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
