I thought this book was okay. I don’t have much interest in the Stone Age so that’s why I didn’t love it. However, there were parts that I thought were good about this book. One was how the pictures matched exactly what the text was saying. For example, there was a couple of pages that talked about what the people in the stone age hunted and then underneath the text there were pictures of all the animals with labels. I also liked how easy the book was to follow along. All of the sections had headings and the pictures all had captions. My favorite section was the one about the houses with the heading “Stone Age house”. There was a little blurb about stone age houses followed by a picture inside a stone age house with a key that labeled what each part of the house was. I found it interesting being able to see what the houses back then used to look like compared to the houses we live in today.
The big idea of this book was what life was like back in the stone age. This book was an information book all about the stone age. It included an abundance of information all about the stone age. ( )
