"Marie Curie" is a biography about the Polish chemist Marie Curie. Marie loved math and science as a child and grew up to be a magnificent chemist. Later in her life she married Pierre Curie who was also a quite famous chemist. Marie and Pierre studied x-rays and also discovered two of the elements. In 1903 the couple won the Nobel Prize for physics. This was an astonishing achievement because she was the first female to win the award. Soon later Pierre died, but Marie continued her studies. Marie won another Nobel Prize in chemistry, she was the first person to win two Nobel Prizes. Marie, not yet knowing that x-rays were dangerous, continued her work. She soon fell ill and died due to exposure, on July 4, 1934.

This was a pretty good biography. Though the book was quite short, it was full of amazing information. I think that Marie Curie was an amazingly strong and powerful female. Due to her work, people all around now know about x-rays. Many hospitals use x-rays to what is wrong in the patients body. Without her work we most likely would not have the sort of technology that we have today. ( )
