Glacier met Mandy when he was on assignment at a night club, they both liked each other but he pushed her away because she was human. After he shut down after she asked him out, he thought she quit her job but in reality she was kidnapped by a rogue vampire outside the bar and turned. The vampire council took out the rogue nest but took her and another girl in and trained them to become assassins. Twenty years later when they are sent out to kill a rogue lycan killing vampires, she's in for a surprise. In reality, Glacier is their as a Guardian, killing a vampire nest, abducting lycan children forces them to fight to the death. Glacier meets Mandy again right after she killed the vampire he had targeted to eliminate, he doesn't know if she's part of the nest and knocks her out to interrogate her. While Glacier doesn't immediately trust her, he realizes she isn't like other vampires and she is still the Mandy he used to know and care about. he also knows vampires are taboo.

This is mostly a feel good, second chance at romance story, with a side of paranormal drama. I liked the Mandy was a total bad ass with a heart at the beginning but that seemed to fade away. I would have liked it better if she had maintained that sense of strength throughout the entire book. A quick enjoyable read, with a few editing issues and leadins for future stories.
