Finished this book this morning. (Audible version.) If you're curious about minimalism, this is an excellent intro to why (at least some) minimalism can make sense. I'm not suggesting that minimalism is for everyone. It's not. But this is an excellent room-by-room discussion about reasonably and intentionally minimizing. (Also, maybe go for the print or Kindle version. The narrator of the Audible version wasn't the best.)

An ok book. Doesn’t add much to the Konmari/Gretchen Rubin conversation, except maybe this: “...in addition to whatever monetary cost an object may originally have had, it also has an ongoing “clutter cost” in terms of the money, time, energy, and space it demands from you.” ( )

Of all the minimalist books I’ve read this year, this has been my favourite because it is so practical. If bringing minimalism into your life and home is something you want to do, this book is essential! ( )

Somewhat a repeat of Becker's previous effort in support of minimalist living. ( )

The Minimalist Home is yet another book that reinforces our determination to download and hone down to the essentials-another tool in the arsenal, this time presented with a spiritual connotation. ( )
