When Ruby finds an old human skull on the estate, it opens a slew of uncomfortable questions for Jo’s mother. Rumors start flying with many people believing the skull is Hannah’s…. But, then out of the blue, who should appear… Hannah!! While Jo’s mother is unsure is this woman is really Hannah, Ruby takes an instant dislike to her- only Jo is ecstatic about her being back and she’s determined to make her Ruby’s nanny…. Okay, there are countless novels about ‘The Nanny’- some obviously bad news, while others who are falsely accused- but in this case the reader is never quite sure what or who to believe. The story is quite absorbing with plenty of family drama, with a big mother/daughter theme to help round out the mystery. There are lots of juicy reveals, lies, and secrets…which I always love, so this book a nice fit more me.
