What an angstfest! I need to read something light now. This was my first enemies to lovers story and while I'm not sure that I will read another I did enjoy this. I quickly figured out the mystery but it didn't put me off this angsty story. I did get aggravated with how dense Brooks was though he was living under his father's ugly influence so he got a pass. Uncle Curtis was a bit of a surprise as was Mother Cunningham. ( )

Some spicy scenes

I really liked this book, for the most part. it was a great enemies to lovers story where the two leads really seem to hate each other a lot of the book.

Biggest positive.. some pretty hot sex scenes. In one in particular, these two perform a sexual activity i have rarely seen in any m/m romance ( even though in real life gay men do it all the time) and from there they just kept going making me gasp at least twice. It was a great sex scene.

Biggest negative... The very last chapter was so happy and perfect and all the loose ends were tied up with a big bow and it felt... It was too much and i didn't care for it. But the book was still good over all
