His life and death struggle against fate offers him one last chance to do the impossible and save the woman to whom he is inextricably bound. Together, Julian and Josephine wage war against a relentless dark force that threatens to destroy them. The fight will take everything they are and everything they have, as they try once more to give each other back their unfinished lives. As I started in on Inexpressible Island, the third and final book in the End of Forever Saga by Paullina Simons, I was pondering the many things that had thwarted Julian and Josephine in their prior lives. Whether you call it fate, destiny, bad luck or karma they just could not caught a break. I felt for them and I had to know how it ended for them.
This book is a difficult one to give you a synopsis of without some sort of spoiler. All I can tell you is that Julian is determined to make one last effort to save Josephine. It will be his biggest gamble to date and there will not be another “do over” at the end of this one. Yet, he is a fighter in both the literary and figurative sense of the word and if anyone could succeed it would be him.
I was so moved by this story that I kept thinking about it for days after I was finished reading. I was in such turmoil that I had to wait a bit before I could put my thoughts to paper. All of this is because the author gave us a main character that was loyal, strong and yet broken, and so very determined to keep trying or die trying. Everyone needs a Julian in their life and because of this character I was totally invested.
Yes, this is an epic love story and much more because it is filled with adventure and surprise. The story moved along quickly and I truly believe Julian would have gone to the ends of the earth for Josephine. It was filled with joy and hope and moments of the deepest despair. The prose was so good in this series that I can’t do it justice with my meager talents.
Stories like this are not a dime-a-dozen. So, if you like epic tales of romance and adventure you have to read, not just this book, but the entire series. I actually though the series got better and better as it went along. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, this is book 3 in a trilogy and it is taking time to get into this. At first I found the style disjointed and difficult to read. I was interested in this book as it featured London and time travel but I am not a great Romance Reader. I am going to see if I can get the first 2 books and start again. It is certainly worth reading but I am not a great fan of all the dialogue. I prefer Connie Willis' time travel books set in London. ( )

This is the third book of an epic saga. It took me a couple of chapters to get into the book as I had not read the previous two books. I have added them to my list of books to read.
It is a story of love, sacrifice and a story of friendship.
Julian travels back in time once again to save his love ( Mia, Josephine ) from death. Julian's love for Mia and his devotion to his friend Ashton is portrayed wonderfully.
The author paints such a graphic picture of the locations, you can believe that you are there.
An exceptional novel.
I received this book for a review from The Library thing. ( )

This book is the conclusion of a series - Having not read the first two books in the series, it took me a bit to try to figure out what was going on and I felt that I missed some important pieces of the story. I would definitely recommend reading the first two books in the series before reading this one. I have read other stories by this author and very much enjoyed them as well.

In this story, Julian travels back in time to find Josephine. I thought the description and details of WWII London were excellent. This book is a beautiful love story but you have to pay attention to the details because everything matters in the end.

Overall another great book by Paullina Simons! Reader received a complimentary copy for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. ( )

I received this book to do a review. (I love Paulina Simons. Her book, The Bronze Horseman gave birth to my interest in Russia in Europe. I have been reading about World War II for the last four years since reading her book.) I thought that even though it was part of a series that it might be a stand-alone book. But I'm very confused in trying to begin this book because it feels like things are jumping around. Perhaps it requires more detailed attention then I'm giving it. It might be because I haven't read the first two books. Because I greatly admire the author I'm going to go out and get the first two books in the series. I walk by my reading shelf and look at this book often and I feel that I failed my commitment because I just don't understand the writing. I will change this review after I've had a chance to read from the first book through the end of this third book.
