Not being a fan of JS's work and having been warned that this was a stinker i was pleasantly surprised to find that it is, in fact, Quite Good. Well paced, well plotted, featuring characterisation of villains that was well handled and makes them more interesting. The story also features some stuff involving Garro and the Sigilite which is Quite Good Too and these characters are not crap like they often have been. What I'd like to see is some back story on the Sigilite, where did he come from, what was he doing before the big E showed up? Not a bad ending for the millions of words that preceeded it!
