This book follows Sundew as she tries to help overthrow the HiveWings while protecting and supporting her new friends. We also get to interact with some wonderful dragons from the Old Continent.
This book was really fun to read. I mainly read these because my son loves them and loves talking to me about them. However, if I am being honest I end up really loving them every time I read them. I loved the adventure through the Poison Jungle and Sundew’s snarky attitude. Sutherland is always spot on with her dialogue and gets me laughing out loud a number of times. I can’t think of another author that does such great and humorous dialogue and makes her dragons seem so...real.
This book finally sees the two worlds colliding (old and new continents) and we learn a ton of really intriguing history about Pantala. I really loved it.
Overall I loved this and think fans of the Wings of Fire series will be really pleased. This is a series I think all ages can really get into; it’s very well written and highly entertaining. My son and I love this series and it just keeps getting better. ( )
