I'm sorry to say I was bored early on so, skimmed most of it. I hate that we don't even get to know who done it or what happened to the Dad?? Bryce was really hateful and judgmental which made me not like her throughout most of it. I saw the ratings were better going forward so I'll have decide if I want to take a chance on the next one. ( )

This was really weird.
First, there are scenes that jump so badly you feel like you missed something.
For instance, one scene had Dash in her house and they are about to get 'Intimate'. But then it jumps to a scene with Dash shaking Tuckers hand. WTF is that.

Then there is the 'Intimate' scenes. The ones we get are decent, but others slam into 'Behind The Door'. You don't get the intense chemistry I expected. There is maybe 3 adult scenes we are 'Shown' all the rest jump from them starting to get intimate, then jumps to some other scene.

Now lets get to the 'Suspense'. There were So Many Times the suspense could have gotten really intense, but Nope. It was mostly glossed over with 'We Don't Know' and 'Looking Into' And 'Absolute Nothing'. Every time Bryce or Dash & his crew had a lead, it fell flatter than flat!
Mostly just a whole lot of Nothing with the 'Crime', so called 'Investigation' and the suspense.

Another problem, every little NONESSENTIAL detail was in this. Drawn out to point of making your jaw pop from Yawning. Talk about boring.

Then to top all this off with a major WTF! Is the 'Crime' solved? Do we learn who did the murder?
NO. A huge NO. It just stops, once again, with no one getting absolutely No Where and jumps to a year later epilogue that also leads No Where.

I had a lot of problems with this and it's lucky to get the stars I gave it.
I don't remember finding any typos but this book annoyed the living crap out of me.
Leaving me so disappointed and feeling a bit 'Used'.
It's like having 'Bad Sex'. You go in expecting to get your world rocked and end up struggling to stay awake.

Fantastic spinoff from the previous series and a great introduction to this one. This author is special. The way that she creates characters amidst a suspense filled riveting journey is incredible. Loved the back and forth between Dadh and Bryce. Insane chemistry between these two.

I would have liked the answers to the mystery about Draven instead of a year in the future without insight. I'm hoping it comes in this book. ( )

Not my favourite troupe but I love the author.

I read this as i like the authors previous work though this troupe isnt one i particularly like.
It's a bit of a mystery with the romance as the heroine is set on writing about the Gypsy Kings and any criminal activities they have been involved in and as the story starts there is a murder.
The heroine disliked the Hero but couldn't resist him.
The Hero had been a manwhore in his past but had been single for some time.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
Breadcrumbs dropped for future books in series.
I just couldn't really connect with this one.
HEA. But the whole pregnant thing was resolved too smoothly considering it had been an issue before. ( )
