Different than I was expecting. The author did a good job at creating a story without going into explicit details. I liked the "healing" process that Ari used. I wasn't as fond of the sharing between the characters. It diminished the character connection of Q and Sakia from the previous book in my opinion. I just wanted a love story between the main characters. However, that doesn't diminish the fact that the author didn't create a good story even if it wasn't what I wanted in the grand scheme of things. ( )

Ugh this book was so sweet! I mean, it's indecent and everything, and has a lot of messed up moments, but overall this was a swoon worthy read.

Ari .. might be my new favourite Kitty male, I love all the dark and dominating love that is Brian (Pleasure House) but Ari just pushes so many adorable sweet buttons, as well as dominating.

I did highlight a few things that stood out (and one other that apparently kindle decided no thanks I wont keep this comment). "After all, if this thing between them, however twisted, was meant to be, why fight it?" and the next one is actually about an adorable freaking side character that I also want to keep and cuddle (like it would let me) "That's all. You can't have any more. You'll get sick and fat. Do you want to be a roly poly (insert animal here... I can't spoil it, cmon), barely able to run down your own dinner?".

All I have to say is, Kitty has done it again! *more swooning* ( )

Kitty Thomas has done it again. She really writes fantastic dark romance and capture fantasies.

Claire went through 43 terrible days, and 3 years later, she's hiding from what happened and from the man who did it to her. She doesn't want to acknowledge what happened because then it becomes too real. She thought she was safe until she saw him again. It threw her, and she is going to take steps.

Ari is mourning the death of a relationship. One fateful day, he sits in a cafe, eating lunch. That one meal sets up everything that's about to happen. He wakes up one day captured.

I felt sorry for Claire. She really did go through the worst thing ever, and of course it broke her. And she never was able to put herself back together. I think that Ari is good for her.

Ari is really patient and controlled. That's what Claire really needs.

Excellent story and a definite joy from Kitty Thomas. ( )
