Everyone has secrets. Although, I was a master at concealing mine. But part of hiding was deception, and I'd become a veritable Pinocchio. He was like two different people--Eli and Dr. Paxton. While I knew the latter would turn out to be an incredible teacher, the idea of Eli being more threw me for a loop. I couldn't separate the two, and it seemed vastly inappropriate and strangely alluring. The practical side of me needed to win the war inside my mind. I had to please the teacher, not the man. But once I'd cross that line, there was no turning back. For either of us. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

This book was one of the most beautiful things I have read in a very long time. I'm leery of this trope because there is a fine line between being cheesy and also creepy. This, was neither of those things.
There is so much to this story. I cannot say much without giving anything away but I'll just say there is a lot to process. This author did an amazing job by handling a couple of pretty heavy topics with grace and love. The connection and devotion from these characters was truly sublime. Eli, that beautiful man, is one of the most beautiful characters that I have read.
Highly highly recommend this story. (
