The purpose of this book is to explain the basic doctrine of the church. The goal is to help professing Christians understand the nature, purpose, mission, ministry and unity of the church. The word "church" used in the New Testament refers to the people of God. This monograph will help the church to better understand the church. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

If we look at ACTS 2:47 [ESV], we read:
“…praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”
While in the KJV and NKJV, “their number” is replaced by the word “church.”
I’m grateful that the author, Martin Murphy, has chosen to write this book in his usual clear-cut manner that everyone can readily understand. The chief desire Mr. Murphy had in writing this book is because of his wanting Christians who are openly acknowledging their faith in the Lord to comprehend/appreciate what they’re getting themselves into in regards to who these individuals are within the group they’ve chosen to be part of, or in other words the church of their choosing.
There’s a lot that needs to be learned by these Christians as it pertains to the spiritual nature, the calling, devotion, and, more importantly, the church’s ministry and unity of the collective membership. The collective membership needs to agree on the fundamental doctrine of their group [church]; otherwise, chaos might ensue causing their group to falter.
For wanting all Christians to understand the true meaning of “church” and reach their full potential of being part of it, I’ve given Mr. Murphy the 5 STARS he has gotten for his endeavor here. ( )
