Dayum. Loved the blackmailing aspect. Loved the voyeuristic touch with a bit of uncertainty - then having it confirmed and that it's his brother. Very hot. ( )

Sheer perfection

Kitty Thomas is back and in such great form. Ballerina Cassia is a character that I didn't always like. There were some times during the book I really was annoyed by her, and I kinda wanted to smack her. I also liked her at other times. That's a mark of a great character.

This isn't the darkest book that Thomas has written, but it's not sweet and light, for sure. I mean, we start off with a murder.

There are a lot of twisty twists and turny turns in this, just like any Kitty Thomas book, and it was a fantastic ride. I was always surprised by what going on, and fascinated by it. ( )
