Melde dich bei LibraryThing an um herauszufinden, ob du dieses Buch mögen würdest. Keine aktuelle Diskussion zu diesem Buch. New characters This is not a good place to jump into a 43 book saga. While there is some recap to help the MC, as a newcomer, learn how the world works, it is very brief and mostly handled by having them watch movies and discuss what they saw. *Very* sparse details for a lot of history. “Empire of the One” and “Dancer” are likely the best places to jump in to this universe. For those who love the series: Xen is largely off screen, as are all of the ‘Old Gods’. This is all about the Empire. Rael, Izzo, and Arno all join Lucky Dave as MCs, with appearances from Ra’d, Ebsa, and Xiat, among others. The Prophet Nicholas visits Makkah. Whirlpool One has issues. Isakson is...Isakson. The three old biddies from Precog stir a few pots. More political nastiness, reminiscent of “Black Point Clan”(?) keeps the plot moving. Truthfully, this needs a good content editor. It could be better. But...The world, the characters, the writing - somehow it all speaks to me in a way that many other authors can’t. Even bit players are more real than MCs written by others. I find this series far more readable than most traditional published writers. I gladly pay for everything she writes. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
