Murder of innocence: It's impossible to resist Andrew Luster. He's rich, charming, and good-looking, and dozens of women have fallen under his spell. But Andrew is no mere womanizer. Andrew Luster is a rich boy with a bad boy appeal. With his riches, charms, and good looks, he is able to land any woman of his choosing. However, these poor women have fallen for a dark, demented man that will be the cause of an international man-hunt, started by none other than Dog the Bounty Hunter. This is a really captivating book, that truly defines the craziness of sexual predators. This books shows how truly sinical men with money can be. Murder of Innocence will have you second guessing every rich man you know. One of the best quotes from the book: "A surfer-bro, trust-fund kid? I think I can handle him." ( )

Two true crime stories. The first is about an heir to the Max Factor wealth., Andrew Luster. He drugged and raped numerous women and made videos of these events. Very disturbing story. . The second is about an FBI agent who has an affair with an infomant who disappears....Both stories easy to read . ( )

James Patterson's true-crime thrillers, Murder of Innocence, gets a solid 3 stars from me. It was a quick, easy read...something to pass the time with. However, nothing really stood out to raise my rating. It isn't a bad read, just average to me compared to Patterson's other works.

The book contains 2 separate true-crime thrillers. I found myself getting into the first one, Murder of Innocence. I wanted to kick the protagonist right in the balls. If this story was a stand-alone I would up my rating to 4 stars. The second story, A Murderous Affair, was a bit on the boring side, almost predictable, hence the 3 rating. On a positive note, I did find that learning the characters and visualizing their development was a bright spot in that story.

I liked the book; I just wasn't over the moon about it. ( )

Murder of Innocence is a true crime book which includes 2 stories.
**Review contains spoilers**
Murder of Innocence tells the tale of Andrew Luster, the great grandson of Max Factor. Andrew preys on young teenage or barely adult girls, drugging them and raping them while they are unconscious. He gets away with it for awhile until finally someone turns him in. Proving his guilt is another matter. This story also introduces Dog, the bounty hunter. But, Andrew has taken the innocence of these girls from them.
A Murderous Affair tells the story of a young, married FBI agent, Mark Putnam, and his informant, Susan, an attractive young woman whose life has been difficult. Their flirtation turns serious, and becomes an affair. When Susan makes demands of Mark, it becomes too much for him to handle. Mark’s wife, Kathy, suffers for Mark’s indiscretions as well. ( )
