Jamie O'Rourke is the laziest man in Ireland. When he stumbles upon a leprechaun who gives him a magic seed, Jamie grows the biggest potato in Ireland, if not the world. When he offers the townspeople the potato in exchange for their help, they grow so sick of eating it, they offer to feed Jamie for the rest of his life if he promises to never grow a potato that big again. Jamie continues being the laziest man in Ireland. This folktale is funny. It does not teach the lesson you'd expect as everything works in the lazy mans favor. This could be a good book to start a discussion about predictions and how students think the book might end. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
