A compilation of stories, all woven together into one amazing whole. There's a lot of new developments, more dark secrets are revealed, new dangers loom ahead... I just loved this book! We get a close-up of all the main characters, viewed from different angles, which really appealed to me. Fans of Emilio get their fair share, too! Action-packed, as can be expected, full of hot moments, as well as tender ones, Interludes left me feeling deeply satisfied. ( )

deserves far more than 5 stars. just wow. in general it was a pretty epic book, with so much happening and a lot a lot a lot of character development and pretty much every scene was notable in some way and i adored it so much. i'm really glad we got chapters from carhart's pov, i feel like they gave me a deeper understanding of carhart and of course emilio, but i sure would like to read something from emilio's pov or just see more of him cause i'm really on the fence about him right now. i just don't know what the deal is with him.
i feel like ivan was a bit underused, cause while he was in the picture i just kept getting this feeling that he's supposed to be important, but in the end he wasn't, so i'm just kind of hoping maybe he'll pop up again in the next book. i get the same feeling from jon, it can't be an accident that he appeared so much in the last few chapters, right? i don't know, i guess we'll see.
kassian sort of disappeared completely for a large chunk of the book, which was a bit interesting compared to how important he was in afterimage, but i hope we'll get more of him too, cause i want to know what's going on with him.
i'm really really proud of sin and boyd because they've been through so much and now they're finally going into their relationship the way they should've from the start. their time in vermont was so nice to read about, even if it was cut short, cause we rarely get to see such moments. these books are mostly just pain and sadness and angst, and it's good to see them communicating and feeling /happy/ together finally. although i'm definitely not happy about boyd's new mission; can't they ever just get a break? i don't have a good feeling about that.
also the whole thing with the reapers is very intriguing and i don't think it's really as far fetched as they make it sound; i just hope we'll find out what really happened to sin to make him like this. i also kind of hope they'll be able to get away from the agency, cause they'll probably never be happy while working for them.
and then that last chapter was just wow. completely unforeseen. mindfuckery at its finest. i was also listening to the icos playlist on youtube and 'mission of destiny' from iris was playing while i read that and it made it that much more epic. i loved it. even if it broke my heart a little.
i just want them to be happy is that too much to ask. now onto Fade, which is probably going to destroy me heh. ( )

Somewhere along the line I became more interested in Emilio than the rest of the drama. Now I kind of wonder about what's with Kassian. The end just makes me want to keep going but I honestly don't fancy being stuck in an ugly part, which I am sure is coming with the valentine mission. I am kind of resigned with Sin and Boyd's relationship, such a wreck and then they just can't be happy...sigh. ( )

Soooooooo, I love Carhart and Emilio's story. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. I think a ton of this could once again be cut down and out. I liked Ivan fine. Kassian is a hot mess. And, as much as I love Boyd and am OBSESSED with Sin I think this sums up my feelings about their relationship.
