Welcome to Ridgeview, where the grumpy loner wants one thing from his ex-best friend: revenge in this addictive enemies to lovers romance from USA Today Bestselling author Veronica Eden. The boy I knew is gone. Maisy Rule follower. Straight laced. Goody-goody. I'm as well-behaved as they get, but then the worst thing ever happened to me...I caught the interest of the bad boy. Wilder isn't the same guy I idolized when we were kids. He made that clear the day he moved back to Ridgeview. He hunts me, stalks me, surrounds me from all sides. I'm his new favorite plaything. Again. Last year was bad enough, but as graduation looms his claws are in me once more and he refuses to let go. And worst of all? I think I like it. The Wilder name is a curse. Fox Pristine. Perfect. Fake. Once upon a time we were friends. Then her family destroyed mine. In return, I'll destroy hers. I'm the resident black shadow this town fears. Whispers about. Everyone remembers that a Wilder means bad news. My sweet daisy should fear me because she's the key piece in my revenge plot against her crooked parents. I'm not her friend anymore. I'll take them all down, starting with her. Warning: Savage Wilder is a dark new adult high school bully romance intended for mature readers. This book is part of a series but can be enjoyed as a standalone. The Sinners and Saints series boys are all devilish antiheroes brought to their knees by a spitfire heroine, so if you love enemies-to-lovers and hate-to-love type stories, you're in the right place. This mature new adult romance contains dubious situations, bullying, blackmail, crude language, and intense sexual/violent content that some readers might find triggering or offensive. Please proceed with caution. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

I loved Maisy in Ruthless Bishop and I was super excited to see where her relationship with Fox would go but it was kind of disappointing. Maisy was such a firecracker in the last book, but in this one she's too busy conforming to her parents wishes and buckling under Fox's bullying. She had a few great moments
The last book was marked as a bully romance and surprised me by being not only tame but rather positive and happy - I was half expecting the same for this one but no, this was true to form. Fox was an ass for most of the book. Like, just spit out what your problem is. He could've just told her
Honestly though the biggest issue with this book was the length. This was at least a good 100 pages too long. The suspense plot dragged and fell apart the more they looked into it. It just kept getting bigger and more convoluted and I just didn't care. Plus the convictions of the characters annoyed me. Fox literally came to town for revenge - and fair enough if you falter and decide you don't want to go down that path - on the other hand
So it wasn't as good as Ruthless Bishop. Still, an okay read, 3 stars. ( )
