If only he had a friend to help him out. This book is George gathering their nighttime friends and finding out that everyone is afraid of something. That with just a little help from friends, everything will be okay, if not downright fun. This book was well done. The story was interesting and engaging. The watercolor type illustrations help elevate that nighttime dreaminess that puts the story over the top. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

I don't really recommend teaching your kids that way - pick a book like this instead. It might not give the same hit that a scary situation does, but it's less anxiety.
This book is adorable - the illustrations are awesome and really help tell the story. The art style alone drew me to the book, so that's a real bonus! Then you get into the meat of the story and meet George and his nighttime friends (as the title suggests). They help him learn not to be afraid of the dark in a very kid friendly way. Each of his animal friends keeps themselves quite busy and makes him realize he is not alone.
My only negative would be the white font on the patterned backgrounds. It was really difficult for me to read, even when I zoomed in on my digital copy. It's all about accessibility folks!
Three out of five stars.
