Jordan is out on a camping trip with her boyfriend and some friends hoping to rekindle her relationship, but instead she sees something that breaks her heart and takes off running. Now in danger and suffering Jordan needs help or things are going to get bad. Alexander escapes to his hunting cabin every month to take a break from day-to-day life, so when he sees Jordan in need of help, he hates that someone is here on his mountain, but he finds himself helping her. He has secrets and particular way of doing things, so having Jordan around is not helping him at all. Stuck together in a small cabin Alex does his best to ignore Jordan as much as possible and Jordan tries to get to know the guy who saved her life. They clash yet the attraction is there and intense. When they come back to the city Jordan thinks she will never see Alex again and tries to move on, yet Alex has other ideas. He wants her yet knows he can’t have her because he sees himself as a bad guy, so this is temporary. Jordan loves him, but he won’t love her back. Should she stay and hope for love t o come or leave and try to find it elsewhere? Will Alex ever see that there is good in him or is he going to constantly only see himself as a villain? Such a beautiful, emotional read that made me feel so bad for all Alex has been through and fall in love with him as well. ( ) On a camping trip with her boyfriend, Lincoln and their friends, Courtney and Darin, Jordan discovers that Lincoln and Courtney have been having an affair. Upon seeing them together, Jordan stumbles away from their campsite and falls into a ravine, hitting her head and injuring her shoulder and ribs. A taciturn mountain man saves Jordan, but she must remain with him in his cabin until the weather improves, so they are isolated in the wilderness for weeks. During that time, Jordan and the man she calls Grizzly, learn to care for one another until the day when Jordan gets a big surprise when she learns the truth about her mountain man. Wild North almost seems like two completely different books. The first part of the story deals with Jordan's survival in the wilderness, but the second part is completely different. Even though I enjoyed both parts, they really didn't seem to go together. Alexander North isn't a very likable character, and he does some questionable things, but Jordan is sunshiny and her personality balances the story. However, I am a little bothered by some of the choices Jordan makes during the latter half of the book. The lack of supporting character development doesn't take much away from the novel because Alexander and Jordan spend such a large percentage of the book alone together. Overall, Wild North is an enjoyable romance and a good beginning to The North Brothers series. 4 stars I am always a sucker for extreme circumstances type stories like being stranded on an island or mountain rescue. I liked that the author used the beginning of this book to build on the setting of the story but also the slow burn between Jordan and Alexander. The story broke down for me though when it came back to being in the city. Parts of it were far-reaching. I found myself irritated by the backstory of NDA's, ridiculous exes(the closure and resolution there had me rolling my eyes, and wealthy restaurant owner that combined made the magic of this story lose its luster. That being said, I did enjoy this story and want to read more about these brothers. A little part of me wishes she'd have all the brothers due circumstance type romances because she was excellent at that. Zeige 3 von 3 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
