Felicia is getting married to Estebe, but her ex-fiancé is in town, and he wants to stop the wedding. Her family, too, would like her to come home and forget about marrying Estebe. Of course, she is going ahead with the wedding, but when her ex is killed, the police zone in on Estebe, and everyone is wondering if the groom will be in jail instead of at his own wedding. Angie is going to solve this murder, before the wedding if possible, but plans go awry, and danger comes out of left field. This well written mystery has plenty of action and fun scenes, as well as some heart-stop moments. There is a surprise ending, so don’t peek at it early. This is a great series, with wonderful characters, and I look forward to the next book with much anticipation. ( )

Angie Turner’s business partner, Felicia, is getting married but some of the plans are going awry. Felicia's family is not happy with her choice of bridegroom and send her former fiancé out to try to persuade her to return East and marry him. That won't be possible when the ex-fiancé turns up dead. The police believe that only the bridegroom had a reason to kill, so Angie and her gang have to hustle to find the real killer before the wedding day arrives.

A Fatal Family Feast by Lynn Cahoon is the sixth A Farm-to-Fork Mystery. It can be read as a standalone if you are new to the series. All our favorite characters are back in this lighthearted cozy mystery. Angie, Dom, Mabel, Ian, Felicia, Estebe, and the rest of the County Seat staff. The characters are realistic and relatable. I love hearing about the antics of Angie’s menagerie. It is down to the final week before the wedding. They have enough to do without a murder on their hands as well as Felicia’s snooty parents. The mystery suited the story. There is misdirection along with several suspects. I like how the Scooby Gang worked to gather information and put together the clues to solve the crime. I wish the crime had been more of a challenge (I pegged the killer very early in the book). The ending will have fans smiling. The food descriptions will have your mouth watering. A Fatal Family Feast is a charming whodunit with imminent nuptials, a bothersome ex-beau, patronizing parents, a fervent fiancé, an incommodious murder, and a busy bridesmaid. ( )
