The writing is endearing, and characters don't hold back. The book is dialogue-heavy, and tells instead of shows. But there are names instead of pronouns, for which I am grateful. The story is more than exercising; there are deep issues the characters deal with, and this results in a death in a class. And another. It's the second death that kicks the story forward as it becomes clear there is danger.

LIKED THIS BOOK, AND I ADMIT THE AUTHOR HAD ME STUMPED!! Sho Tanaka and Levi Blue were determined to find the killer of not only one but TWO people dying in front of them in a gym! When Sho forgets to tell Levi about a theory that he told the police they have a big fight and go their separate ways. With so many suspects, I had a terrible time finding the killer and I can't wait to read book 2!!
