This story was one of the most anticipated reads I have been waiting on and the amount of detail and story telling the author poured into it really flowed off the pages leaving me in awe. The way the author has with words and descriptions I have seen in previous books, so I thought I was use to it but this one has a whole new way to it that seemed so ethereal. The story of Stone and Adora had its own twists and turns some you might see coming others you definitely can’t fathom. Their romance has a Romeo, Juliet feel to it with dark twists and magical elements tossed in. Stone was easy to fall for and the way he had to live his life for so long and to endure what he had just made my heart bleed for him, hoping he would get his happy ending. Adora was struggling to keep everything together from her family, to her shop, and more. There were times that she was so frustrating and it took me saying to myself remember what she is going through to keep tolerating her, but it was Stone that really gripped me. I loved seeing the Heathens and being back in Weeping Hallow with so much happening and going down after Julian’s story there’s a lot in this book and I applaud the author for not wanting to break the book up and making us readers wait any longer because we all know how much we hate waiting, but I also felt that some of the book maybe could have been broken up and made as a prequel to the series to alleviate some of the girth of the story (that’s just my opinion). The story does go back and forth between timelines that never lost or bothered me, but I would suggest others to make sure you read book one first or you’d be lost. I wanted more time with The Heathens and honestly I would take a book of nothing but them doing mundane things, but I craved and needed a lot more of them together in this story. Overall, this book was beautifully written, there’s a lot going on and maybe we should have gotten two books to break it up some, but I really loved Stone’s story that I am dying for more. ( )
