I have been using this book with my kids and it is very informational. We read one "vehicle" a day. The illustrations are very nice and there is enough information to keep the kids interested but not overloaded. ( )

This is a great coffee table book about “50 vehicles that changed the world.” From the chariot to the Space Shuttle, each is presented in a large two-page spread with well-illustrated color drawings. This is a fun read for adults and kids interested in technology. It also provides food for thought: e.g., how much the ambulance has changed our lives may not be as obvious as the airplane’s effect, but which would you rather have? ( )

I was excited to receive this book because I know the children in my life will love it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's super fascinating for adults as well. It is well organized and includes so many types of transportation, from chariots to snowmobiles. The illustrations are beautiful and I love how large the book is. The fact that it is a hard cover is also endearing. I can tell the types of transportation were well researched because the information included is detailed and accurate. Definitely recommend this book! ( )

A wonderful well organized oversized book on how various vehicles from the Polynesian Canoe to the Solar Powered Airplane impacted the world. Included are the well known steam locomotive, Wright flyer and space shuttle but also the trireme, narrow boat and trireme. Beautiful detailed illustrations complement the facts and specifications. A great addition to any library, highly recommended! ( )
