A collection of fan-made pieces commemorating Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Several short stories revisit characters including Ahsoka, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and clones Rex, Cody, Fives, and Boil, as well as a few comic strips, art pieces, and even a few Clone Wars-inspired recipes.

One day I was just casually checking online for a couple Star Wars manga I was missing whenever I stumbled upon a lot containing those and this book. I'd never heard of it before but picked up the set, as it looked to be pretty interesting -- which, admittedly, it is. While not an official Disney- or Lucasfilm-backed publishing, it is made by fans for fans as a commemorative piece for The Clone Wars, which is one of my favorite pieces of Star Wars content. Within the volume are five short stories, a few mini one-page comics, and an assortment of fan art and some recipes in the last couple pages. The recipes don't particularly interest me too much but are a cool add-on, and the artwork -- while all of it is certainly good -- varies in style, from some really great realistic pieces to some that are more stylistic and extravagant. The comics are cool as well, but not really long, as I said. The main piece of the book is certainly the short stories, and they're a mixed bag. Three of them center around Ahsoka as the primary character, which makes sense -- I just wish in a limited number like five, we would've had more variation among them but it's not a huge issue. The first follows Ahsoka as she meditates with Obi-Wan, establishing their bond (with the first use I've ever seen of the term "grandmaster," pretty much a Jedi version of grandfather, which is a rather interesting choice). The second follows Ahsoka as she recruits Fives to help paint a commemorative mural for the troops amidst a siege, which yes is goofy but still heartwarming to see. The third follows Ahsoka as she is tasked with "guarding" Padme at a gala, although it's mostly a look into their relationship. The fourth story is probably my favorite; it follows clone trooper Boil as he returns to Ryloth and meets the Twi'lek girl Numa whom he helped rescue in season 1 of the show. It's a quite emotional story and one that adds to a side story that we never really got much resolution or follow-up to, which is nice to see. The final story follows Rex after he departs from Ahsoka following the series finale and he searches for Cody. Now obviously it doesn't follow canon so it doesn't match the Bad Batch story we know for Cody, but apart from that it still feels more like contrived fan fiction that doesn't quite add up in-universe. All in all, the stories are well-written and the authors are certainly well-versed in Star Wars lore -- I just feel like some story choices were a bit subpar. In all, for a fanmade effort, it's solid, although a little underwhelming considering it's lack of variety. Recommended for fans of the show, but not many others will find much here I'm afraid.

Content Concerns: Not too much; there's very little violence, and 1 use of "h-ll" in the story "Cobalt and Gold."
