What a fun adventure! I love books with romance, mystery, and exotic locations. Light of a Nile Moon took me from Victorian England to Egypt as one young woman embarks on a long awaited journey full of danger, suspense, and swoony romance.

Helen Corbyn’s been looking forward to visiting the Land of the Pharaohs for years. She finally gets the opportunity to travel with Professor Tyndale, his wife, and niece. After arriving in Egypt, she becomes separated from her party and must rely on the help of a handsome acquaintance. Soon though they find themselves running for their lives in the desert as they try to escape danger, flies, and the desert heat to reunite with the professor and his family in Cairo.

Rhys Evelyn is on a mission to rescue his sister. Her mysterious captor known as The Collector wants an ancient Egyptian amulet that was once in Rhys’ possession & is holding his sister prisoner until he produces it. When Helen foils an attempt to trade with the kidnappers, he’s forced to flee with her through the desert. It takes all his skills, humor, faith, and a little romance to get them to Cairo alive.

I loved Helen & Rhys! Helen’s intelligent, knowledgeable, and impresses Rhys at every turn. I loved the way he admired her skills as well as her beauty. From the first moment Helen meets Rhys, I was intrigued. Rhys has a shady past he’s worked hard to overcome which gives him a mysterious, dangerous appeal. Loved the witty banter, and sizzling attraction between them.

The Collector is a shadowy figure whose identity isn’t revealed until the end. I loved the mystery and suspense surrounding the amulet and guessing the villain’s identity along the way. The surprising twists and turns lead up to an exciting conclusion.

Highly recommend this fun, clean, romantic adventure with a touch of faith woven in. Though part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. Looking forward to the next book!
