Fairly poorly written, not a lot of suspense, one or two gory moments but all in all a waste of paper. Character development is non existent and the reader really couldn't give a toss about what happens to anyone. For instance the investigator just jumps into bed with the main protagonist after having met for a few hours because he 'looks like he needs it'.
The only reason I have given the book 2 stars is that the idea wasn't a particularly bad one. The US government have bred super Piranha that accidently get released into the main river. These fish then terrorise the stretch of water and head towards a water camp of small children. You can guess the rest.
An interesting concept, just a pity it wasn't written by Peter Benchley. He would have known what to do with it. ( )
