The author describes some of the pilgrimages he went on over the past few years when Covid and other political concerns offered complications. Using an online map I could sort of follow where he was if he gave me a place name. However, he provided no maps nor photos, but then I don't see this as a guided tour of these pilgrimages. That's for others to write with a different motivation. What you get in this book is a conversation with a fellow pilgrim you might meet along some of these ways. He speaks to you in prose and free verse as both of you seek the blessings of God. ( ) Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Early Reviewers geschrieben. This book is a collection of one man’s thoughts turned into prose and poetry regarding his journey/pilgrimages during a time when people movement was restricted and societal activities, at least in some countries and states, were at a standstill. Even during lockdowns these writings demonstrate that life, via nature, keeps on going. The birds keep singing. The rivers keep flowing. And, some people opt for a pilgrimage. The author paints vivid imagery of his visits to historical sites such as Milecastle 49, Brampton Old Church, Willowford Bridge which was built as part of Hadrian’s wall, The Camino de Santiago known as the Way of St. James, among several others. If you enjoy exploring places through the written word or are planning to take your own pilgrimage, this book is for you. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
