And Eric Pinder is my favorite author that writes about Mount Washington. Eric had the pleasure of working at the Mount Washington Observatory, witnessing firsthand the worst weather in the world (something that I would have loved to have done.) Eric’s books are funny, informative and never boring. There is something always happening on the 6,288-foot summit and Eric is the perfect person to tell us about it. If you are interested in weather, human endurance and history, this is where all three merge into one grand story. So grab your snow shoes, a warm blanket and a mug of hot chocolate!
